The Shack in Idaho

"Restaurant in front were too busy and an hour of wait list so we decided to stop here. Price are good, big variety and it was tasty! Labor day weekend, so they were out of pita and quesadilla with beef, but we were able to choose something else due to big variety. You have to wait for long, but food is worth it. And service is good, girls are polite and friendly. Thank you and God bless you all!"

"A beautiful sunny Sunday night and we chose the shack before we went for a dip in the springs. Our order came out quick and we tucked in while enjoying the laid back vibe of the space and crispy freshness of what we were served. Fried green beans and the cheese curds were a highlight, the kids were super happy with the stacked fries and ham on Swiss sammie. Highly recommend a stop at the shack!"

"We had intentions to get breakfast at Lava Waffle (the business opposite The Shack) but they were closed.. and to be honest? We're glad they were. The breakfast burritos, the French toast and bacon & hash browns we got were absolutely divine. The staff were incredibly fast, very efficient and tasted amazing. They have a cute little patio sitting area which feels tucked away in the mountains of Lava Hot Springs. It's such a cute little place, 10000/10 recommend. This place will not disappoint, I promise you! Of their sodas, I got the Hot Chick - Kiwi, Watermelon, Orange Sunkist & Mountain Dew and it was really good! Definitely check out their sodas whilst you're there!"

"Our new favorite for coffee and breakfast! We will be checking out the hotdogs next time we are in town. Hearty breakfast burritos for a very reasonable price, good coffee and quick service. They say “all to go menu” but there are some benches and tables in a patio area if you want to sit and people/dog watch. We ate there 3 times in one weekend. Clean place, quick easy food to grab between Lava adventures. * Rotating menu of specials and they said they were growing their menu all the time."

"Service was slow for it mainly being a hot dog stand. But the employees were very nice. Food was amazing! Double decker chili dog is on point! Must try! Seating is outdoors"

"Pretty good! Burrito was good when paired with their salsa for the quesadilla. Otherwise it felt it was missing some good PLAVOR Wish it was a little bit cheaper but that's the prices everywhere these days tbh Overall nice food and coffee"

"We got the house made chips and nacho cheese, deli sandwich, rodeo burger, and fries. Every thing was DELICIOUS. especially the chips and cheese. We will definitely be stopping here again next time we visit lava."

"The Shack is one of those rare places that gets everything right. The food is unreal! Fresh, flavorful, and always made with care. Every bite tastes like it was cooked by someone who genuinely loves what they do. What really sets The Shack apart is the service. These guys are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Being in a small town and serving as many people as they do, there can be a little wait, but the wait is well worth it! This is the kind of food you go out of your way for and keep thinking about long after you’ve eaten. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out. I highly recommend you eat here when visiting Lava!"
